Fetish Clothes

Fetish - an object, thought, material or situation, which turns you on. The most mainstream form of fetish is penchant for particular materials and clothing. What makes people tick? What kind of gear to buy? This factsheet explores the basic differences in quality of materials, and gives a few ideas on how to make the most of your PVC, Latex or Leather fantasies.

What makes you tick?
PVC, latex or leather fetish clothing appeals to a wide range of people for various reasons. Some enjoy the feeling of dominance they get when dressed in these materials. Some feel more in a submissive position. Some like the all-enveloping feeling they get when dressed in the material, or its particular texture.

How about the quality?
The quality of fetish clothing varies. The market is flooded with goods of various shapes, forms and most importantly prices. Quality ranges in all these materials will be immediately noticeable by price. Although buying cheap is a good way to try out whether you like the material, the risk you are running by buying cheap is mainly disappointment.

Latex
. Cheap latex might look good in the box, but the material is often weak and is likely to tear after a single use. The rubber tends to be thin and your garments will start breaking not only at the seam, but can also snap right in the middle. Medium range rubberwear is made of good quality, thicker latex, with minimum seams and good quality stitching where required. LateX, a German brand, is a good middle of the range designer of wellfitting, good quality rubberwear. The higher end latex garments are usually hand made with top quality materials, stitched seams and tailored hems.

PVC
. Quality PVC is more difficult to spot. The difference is in the material composition. True PVC is 50% Polyurethane and 50% Polyester. Some cheaper variations include Polyamide in the mix. Check also the quality of stitching and design, look out for odd kinks and pulls. PVC should be soft, supple and slightly stretchy, to ensure a good fit. Black Level PVC is a great middle of the range brand, which gives you great designs, uncompromised quality and won't break your bank.

Leather
. As a natural material, the quality of leather is in its finishing. Cheap leather is hard and in wearing it, you run the risk of getting quite bad chafe marks. When buying leather, look for soft and supple material with consistent tanning, good fit, rounded or hemmed edges and good quality buckles and studs. If you are fishing for good design, supple hide and lasting finish, try Zado, a brand that will give you a range of top designs at very acceptable prices.

Rub me in rubber

Latex - tight fitting, shiny and provocative, or all-enveloping, matt and subdued. Here is just a couple of ways how to present it to the outside world.
A tight-fitting mini dress or top will give you the look of a confident, dominating individual. Try long gloves and high heels for complete dominatrix look. For domination games with a partner, we recommend latex briefs with penis and internal plugs and dildos.
Full body suits, masks and body bags are ideal for domination games. Submissive individuals often like the feel of being completely enveloped in rubber, relaxing into it and giving their partners full control over their bodies. You are quite likely to work up a little sweat under that matt, all-enveloping suit. If you simply like the feel of latex, there is nothing wrong with enjoying it all day long. A pair of discrete latex briefs will fit snugly under your clothes. Try the ecstasy pants with internal texture for all-day-long clitoral stimulation.

Looking after Latex.
Latex is very sensitive to external environment, and inevitably, ages.
To get the most out of your latex, make sure you

· Don't expose it to excessive sunlight and heat.
· Don't use detergents. Get a special latex cleaning fluid; it will preserve its stretchiness for longer. Use only lukewarm water for rinsing.
· Hang it to dry naturally. Once dry, powder it with talc to prevent stickiness and store in a dark place.
· Never use oil-based lubricants. They cause latex to dissolve.
· Use talcum powder to put latex garments on. It will make the process easier and you will avoid the danger of tearing.
· Use special latex shine sprays to achieve high shine,

PVC Shine
PVC is a great material for outrageous party outfits. It shines, rustles, fits tight and makes the most of your curves. The great thing about it is that you can even wear it to the usual clubbing events, feel really sexy, but not attract too much unwanted attention.
Love the feel of PVC? Love the thought of gliding up and down your partner’s oiled up body? PVC orgy bed sheets are ideal for the naughtiest games you can imagine. They come in a range of sizes and colours, fitted or flat, so take your pick. Don't forget to add a bottle of orgy oil for a perfect glide.

Looking after PVC
PVC is a synthetic material and is also sensitive to excessive light, heat and some chemical substances.
· Wipe the outer side with a damp, soapy cloth, and refresh the inside with fabric freshener.
· For more soiled items, wash gently in cold water with wool detergent. Hang up to dry naturally, away from sunlight or direct heat.
· You can use latex shine sprays to shine it up if it has gone slightly dull.
· Nail polish remover, nail polish, or any toluene or acetone based solvents will permanently damage PVC by dissolving the surface. Do not take it to the dry cleaners, as they use toluene-based solutions for cleaning.
· Keep your PVC items hung as opposed to folded, and store them away from sunlight to prevent cracking and flakiness.

Raunchy leather
Leather brings out the animal in us. The feel of soft suede on the skin and the smooth shiny surface on the outside is very erotic. Even a little touch such as leather suspender belt or a thong worn under your normal clothes can give you an all-day thrill.
But what goes on behind the closed doors?
Leather bodies, harnesses, cuffs and whips are often featured in BDSM or pony play games. Leather is a fantastically durable material and using metal components in body harnesses gives free space to your wildest bondage fantasies. Leather doesn't give in, it will keep you or your partner in place for as long as you want.

Looking after leather
Leather will stay beautiful forever; all you need to do is take good care of it. The more used it is, the better it looks, so here are a few tips:

· As a routine, wipe it clean with a soft dry cloth. To give it a good clean every so often, use a damp soft cloth and specialist leather soap, for example saddle soap. Work the soap into a lather, and then wipe off with a dry soft cloth.
· Try not to get it soaked, as it will shrink. Pat dry it first, then leave to dry completely on a flat, well aired surface away from sunlight and direct heat, which can cause it to crack.
· Condition your leather regularly with leather conditioners; use leather protective sprays for extra shine and protection.
